Hair Removal by Threading

Getting rid of bodily hair is a common procedure nowadays for both men and women. For different reasons, they want to remove hair that grows in the different areas of their body. As a result, there are many hair removal options made available nowadays. One of them is hair removal by threading.

Now lets get to know what are the different methods of hair removal. There are many hair removal methods that you can choose from. Depending on your preference, you can have the most appropriate process for you. You may want the convenient, economical, and painless technique of unwanted hair removal. However, there is not yet a single method that can effectively grant you all these three.

If you are looking for a painless method of removing unwanted hair, you may want to consider depilatories. These are creams or light liquid that are chemically treated to eliminate unsightly bodily hair easily. A depilation cream may be considered as one of the best hair removal products because it can remove unwanted hair without any pain. Plus, it is relatively cheap and can be purchased quickly over-the-counter. The downsides of the depilatories include fast re-growth of hair, the risks of possible allergic reactions on your skin, and the mess during application.

The more expensive but almost permanent methods of hair removal are the electrolysis and laser treatment. These may give you a permanent effect but during the treatment, expect to be in a lot of pain.

Other common and painful methods of hair removal are waxing, sugaring, and threading.

Hair Removal by Threading

Hair removal by threading may be excruciating but it is in fact kinder to the skin. The skin may get a bit sore during the process but it will only take a few minutes. As to the effects, hair removal by threading is better than tweezing, waxing, and sugaring. Also, unlike the use of depilatories, you may be able to prevent skin rashes and allergies with threading. There will also be no stripping off of the top layer of the skin during the procedure.

Hair removal by threading involves the use of a 100% cotton thread to be able to lift the hairs from the follicles. The thread is twisted and rolled onto the surface of the skin to entwine the hair. When the hair is already entangled with the thread, it can already be pulled off and the hair is removed. Threading is the best method for facial hair removal, such as the upper lip and the eyebrows.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Threading

Hair removal by threading is healthier for the skin than waxing. The hair can be removed fast and easy and there is a lesser potential for creating ingrown hair. Threading is also relatively cheap and is generally suitable for all types of skin. There are no chemicals that need to be applied before and after the process so that skin irritation and allergies are remote possibilities. Most of all, the clean result of threading can last for over two weeks.

Some of the disadvantages of threading include the necessity of a threading professional to achieve optimum results. The process may be too painful when it is performed by unskilled practitioner. Also, threading may only be performed on flat surfaces and it is not recommended for the bikini lines.

Ultimately, the choice for the best hair removal method is for you to make. Hence, it is best that you take a look first at your options before you pick one of them.
